Agrícola los Carrizos, 40 years of fruit quality.
The beginnings of Agrícola Los Carrizos date back to 1978, when Mr. Walter Kaufmann recommended his sons Miguel and Cristobal Kaufmann to acquire an agricultural property far from the main cities of Chile. The motivation for such a recommendation, it was his experience during the first and second world wars, which told him that it was safer in case of conflict to be able to get away from the big cities and make a living from farming. In those years there was a danger of entering into a military conflict with our neighboring country Argentina.

Miguel Kaufmann in his search was advised by farmer friends and businessmen in the field, who made him see the export potential that Chile had. With these bases, the first plot was purchased in the El Cardal sector in San Vicente de Tagua Tagua, sixth region; in order to immediately plant fruit trees and achieve a production that meets export standards.
As the years go by, the possibilities of enlarging the production surface are given, acquiring neighboring plots and others closer to the former Viña Tagua Tagua. In this process, Miguel Kaufmann, with his vision of achieving a productive scale that is adjusted to efficient exploitation and with modern varieties, decides to continue with the process of enlarging the company and acquires the participation of its partners.
Starting in the mid-1990s, new species were incorporated, changing the focus of the company, which was mainly Pome and Stone fruit. This process is carried out by a management team and external advisors under the close supervision of Mr. Miguel Kaufmann and his son Alexander, both of whom are concerned with giving a business focus, with achieving a production of excellence, in an atmosphere of order and good social treatment. with his collaborators.
Agrícola Los Carrizos is currently part of the Miguel Kaufmann family group (GFMK) as a fruit producer of table grapes, apples, pears and citrus.
